ABOUT ZENHEADS
From Screen to STUDIO
In 2024, ZenHeads, an ASMR scalp massage channel, was born.
Founded by Alyssa, a licensed massage therapist in Knoxville who specializes in massage for headaches, ZenHeads started as a creative outlet. She began experimenting with hair brushing, back scratching and other sensory techniques alongside her headache-focused massage, and we found our community of ZenHeads.
In 2025, we brought those sensory techniques and massage together to develop a uniquely ZenHeads style that combines deeply relaxing, nostalgic techniques with therapeutic, evidence-informed bodywork right here in our Knoxville studio.
Brought to Life by Licensed Massage Therapists
Every ZenHeads session is personalized and performed by a licensed massage therapist with advanced training in therapeutic bodywork. Following a brief consultation, your therapist will design a session around your goals, weaving together our signature tool-assisted techniques with skilled hands-on massage to create an experience that's both relaxing and therapeutic.
Our goal is simple: to help you slow down, quiet the mind, and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Making You Feel Safe Again
At ZenHeads, we believe feeling your healthiest comes from feeling safe and cared for. We’re centered on creating the conditions where your body can naturally regulate itself again. Our favorite modalities are ones that work with the power of your nervous system to yield profound results.
Gentle Modalities We Love
-
A gentle, rhythmic form of lymphatic massage designed to support the body’s natural drainage and healing processes. Using light, intentional movements, this technique helps reduce swelling, support immune function, and encourage relaxation.
-
A gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on releasing tension in the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding muscles. By applying slow, sustained pressure, this approach helps improve mobility, reduce chronic pain, and restore balance to the body.
-
A gentle, therapeutic massage that targets the muscles inside the mouth, jaw, and surrounding areas. This technique can help release tension, improve jaw mobility, and support relief from headaches, TMJ discomfort, and chronic facial tension.
-
ASMR, or autonomous sensory meridian response, is a sensation often described as deeply soothing, almost meditative. We use specialized tools and techniques to induce gentle tactile ASMR sensations, helping your body sink into a calmer, more restful state.
