Therapeutic Massage with Jen Roberts, LMT, MLD-C
Jen specializes in supporting clients living with chronic illness, including Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and other autoimmune conditions. She holds an advanced certification in the Vodder Method of lymphatic massage and combines this gentle technique with other modalities to support natural nervous system regulation and immune health.
Jen will create a personalized care plan tailored to your individual needs and preferences, which may include any of the following modalities:
-
A gentle, rhythmic form of lymphatic massage designed to support the body’s natural drainage and healing processes. Using light, intentional movements, this technique helps reduce swelling, support immune function, and encourage relaxation.
Feels like: slow, subtle, soft skin stretching -
Known for its medium to light pressure and long, relaxing strokes, Swedish massage is wonderful at promoting relaxation, increasing circulation, and calming the nervous system.
Feels like: Soothing, relaxing, gliding. Pressure can range from feather light to deep depending on preference.
-
A gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on releasing tension in the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding muscles. By applying slow, sustained pressure, this approach helps improve mobility, reduce chronic pain, and restore balance to the body.
Feels like: snail slow, skin stretching, long periods of holding, melting release
-
Our signature fingertip-light massage designed to signal safety to the nervous system. The gentle, intentional pace helps the body soften and settle, making it a beautiful way to introduce deeper modalities or to support relaxation and regulation on its own.
Feels like: slow, featherlight, meditative, tingly, nostalgic, deeply comforting
-
Cupping involves placing plastic, glass, or silicone cups on the skin to create suction. The negative pressure that is created feels deep and therapeutic. Cupping may be static (the cups stay in one place) or dynamic (the cups are moved across the skin).
Feels like: Intense, sustained pressure in one area. Unlike a massage that applies positive pressure, cupping creates negative pressure between the muscles and skin.
